Ok, so not MY exciting news, but still exciting.
My only exciting news is that my next set of half-leather bound DiscWorld hardbacks arrived so now I have 15 beautiful DiscWorld books sitting on their own special shelf. They're almost certainly never going to be read as I have copies of all the books, but they look damn good.
Right, work...

Yay Reading.
But no Glastonbury this year, alas.
Alas indeed.
I went to the Glastonbury festival back in 2000 and had a fairly good time. Only fairly good cos I was skint and had to watch everyone else getting drunk.
I got Reading tickets as well! I figured it would be a bit mad, both festivals have benefitted sales wise and in their lineups with there being no Glastonbury this year so it really paid off getting in there and queuing.
My main thing is Pearl Jam but the other days have lots of great popular indie bands...
Some publisher called me t'other day to try and sell me a book on The Kaiser Cheifs because they were "just confirmed as headlining Reading"...
I got great pleasure in telling them that they weren't. They are playing the Friday but headlining that day are Franz Ferdinand.
Both Franz and the Kaisers have to directly follow the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Audioslave on the main stage... lol

Emily came to help out at our midnight opening for HP last year and met Jen who works on Saturdays. She then bumped into her in the mosh pit at Reading! You could try for a booksellers meet-up!
I found out the other day that someone I have worked with for the last 2 years was at Guns N Roses at Milton Keynes the same night I was there.... xx
